Wireless Networking at UF

Wireless on UF campus started off with a project to provide outdoor wireless to the center of campus in 2004. This project included areas near Computer Science & Engineering, College of Business, Fine Arts and College of Education. In 2008 campus was moved to a centralized management platform with over 650 access points with Cisco NAC Authentication. By 2012 there were over 1700 access points, 802.11n is the standard for deployment with dot1x authentication. Wireless coverage blankets campus and is present in many UF associated WAN locations.
